The Magach 7C is a main battle tank of Israeli origin. It is a further development of the earlier Magach 7A. Both Magach 7A and 7C are based on the original small turret variant M60 Patton produced in, and acquired from, the United States. The Magach 7C is a significant upgrade over the venerable M60 Patton. A tailor made set of passive applique armor covers turret front, side and top. The 105mm gun is improved by fitting a new fire control system, stabilizer, thermal sleeve and it fires modern ammunition. To cope with the increased weight a more powerful engine is fitted, which is coupled to a new transmission.
The main gun of the Magach 7C is the US produced 105mm M68 rifled main gun.
A 12.7mm M2HB heavy machine gun is fitted above the barrel as an external coaxial machine gun.
Three 7.62mm MAG machine guns are fitted. One as coaxial machine gun and two on the turret roof.
The Magach 7C is a further development of the Magach 7A and can be distinguished by the shape of the add on armor.
Just like the Magach 7A the Magach 7C is based on the original American M60 Patton tank with the smaller cupola.
